The kid and I went.
After Michigan, the most represented state was Texas. Which I thought quite interesting.
The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, stalls inside huge vaulted tents and a Grand Prix field set down in a grass bowl.
Everyone I talked to was in Traverse City for the first time, and had nothing to say but positive feedback. The lakes are nearby and offer splendid swimming, the food scene in the area has really increased in quality over the last few years...
Anyhow. It's really cool to see eight weeks of A-rated shows in my hometown. Especially in such a GORGEOUS setting.
Dang, I can't imagine 8 weeks of rated shows in my hometown. Let alone even meeting someone who didn't ask "Where's the horn?" when they saw my english saddle.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding -- I spent a long time in the upper peninsula and I can't imagine one rated show in the UP hahaha -- but really this show was unbelievable.
